About us

The aim of tuition is not to memorise facts, but to teach students the techniques that will help them to learn, revise, write, analyse and think critically.

Where we began

I began tutoring in 2008 after graduating with a MA in Natural Sciences and Business Studies from Cambridge University and an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from Oxford University. Referrals grew through word of mouth and providing tuition became my full time passion

Our passion

Providing 1:1 help and guidance has been my focus since, and many hundreds of students and thousands of hours later I still enjoy what I do!

Our specialism

1:1 work is especially important for providing support for students with SEND. All our tutors have experience with needs such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, ADHD and ASD. And we take care to support students and families to build a toolbox that can be used in the future.

Our tutors

As demand has grown I work with a small group of trusted tutors that I know personally. I remain a tutor as I’ve found this keeps me up to date and appreciative of the challenges that students experience in education.

Our flexibility

Whether support is in person, or online, in London or across the globe, lessons aim help students pass exams, to build confidence, foster enjoyment for learning and provide the skills needed to excel, from school to university and beyond.

Our Ethos

Tutoring requires an understanding not only of a student’s ability, but also their character. The aim should be to make lessons enjoyable and treat students as adult learners so that subjects aren’t hated or feared. So that student reach those all important ‘ah-ha!’ moments themselves.
